File your EB-5 application before the investment amount goes up

Published on 02/15/2019

Hello, I’m Investment Immigration Attorney Vaughan de Kirby. I’m very happy to report that President Trump has signed a bill, which extends EB-5 to September 30th. That’s not very long. That’s really only a little over seven months.

Now does that mean you have seven months to apply? I would say no. If EB-5 is important to you, I would take action because there are possibilities that we will see a bill passed by Congress, which will permanently reauthorize the program but at a much higher investment. If you’re able to invest now, you would be investing under the current law as it stands today at $500,000.

Another threat we have is that USCIS could at any time step in and make administrative changes and raise the investment amount.  So the bottom line message here is we have an incredible program. The EB-5 Program has been very good to over 1,500 of my clients that we’ve successfully filed their applications. But it is a program that might not be available after seven months, or even sometime during that seven-month period, so the bottom line here is: take action for yourself and your family. I hope this information is helpful.

Feel free to contact us or call 415-221-2345 if you have any questions on EB-5. We're here to help!
