Hello, my name is Vaughan de Kirby. As you may know, I am an Investment Immigration attorney. Today I wanted to let you know that Congress has extended EB-5. It has been extended without changes to December 7th.
Now that answers one question. It means we do have EB-5 for the next approximately 10 weeks. There are questions though that are on everyone’s mind: what will happen after December 7th? Honestly, no one knows. Will USCIS step in and pass new regulations during this 10-week period. It is doubtful. Is it possible that Congress will pass new regulations, a new bill within during period? It is possible but doubtful.
It does mean we have EB-5 available to you and your family for the next 10 weeks. My recommendation is: if it is important to you to have a Green Card for yourself and your family, now is the time to act. We have no promise that EB-5 will be extended unchanged after December 7th.
